Do you wanna be a Chilean Sea Badass? I thought so. Did you know that despite it’s buttery, melt-in-your-mouth meatiness, that Chilean Sea Bass is also uber healthy, and offers a plentiful catch (see what I did there?) of “omega 3, vitamins A, D, B6, B12 and calcium (if you eat the bones)”, according to this article by Livestrong.com.
“Why in the flying fish is everyone obsessed with Omega’s, and why do I need them?”, you might ask. Great f***ing question.
(f***ing in this context is to be read as “fishing”.)

• sardines (a personal “ew” from me…but if you can stomach these salty little guys then more power to ya!)
• albacore tuna
• rainbow trout
Prefer the vegetarian/vegan route? No problem! (And on a side note a huge congratulations to your lifestyle btw. Not only are you reducing your carbon footprint drastically by skipping meat but I think you herbivores are generally awesome people and epically healthy, and will out live all of us carnivores.). Plant-based sources of Omega 3 come from flaxseed and walnuts. Just be sure to aim for ground flaxseed, as our bodies most efficiently absorb it in this form.
So in summary, cast that net and catch some Omega’s, in the most Chilean Badass or Flaxtastic form.
